Pool News:
New State law requires all public pool's and spa's that are 4ft deep or less to have a duel main drain system installed by January 2nd 2009 and any other deep water pools to be upgraded to the duel main drain system by January 1st 2011. Due to the shortage of new main drains some cities are allowing you to keep you pool or spa open for now.
This new law is called the "Abigail Taylor Act". With this new law in affect any public pools must be updated and a certificate of completion must be sent out from the state before a public pool can be re-opened or allowed to stay open. A lot of companies are mis-informing you by saying that you don't need a permit. This is NOT TRUE; the State requires a certificate of completion.

It's that time of year and you're already thinking of pool parties, BBQs, catching some rays or a relaxing swim after a long day at work. I know. You can't wait. You've probably totally forgotten about the hassle of transporting and handling chemical chlorine and shelling out money every month for chemicals, not to mention the red eyes and itchy skin. Sorry to remind you.
Before you open your pool, consider switching to salt chlorination – an alternative to factory-produced chlorine that delivers clean, clear water that is soft on the skin and easy on the eyes. And, more importantly, it's easier and more cost effective to obtain than you might think.
Aqua Rite Electronic Chlorine Generators (also known as salt chlorinators) are the largest selling system in the world. They automatically produce pure chlorine every day while the pool is being filtered and distribute it evenly throughout the pool via the return jets.
